Quy Chau organized a seminar to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Party's founding.

Attending the discussion were members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, leaders of the District People's Committee, leaders of the district through the periods, representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the district.

On December 19, 1946, the nationwide resistance war broke out, France used Laos as a springboard to attack Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. In March 1947, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to assess the situation and discuss solutions to fight against the French colonial invasion.

In Quy Chau district, due to the reactionaries' distorted propaganda, revolutionary cadres encountered many difficulties. The Inter-zone Party Committee mobilized comrade Nguyen Quoc Sung, a cadre of Dien Chau district, to reinforce Quy Chau to build the movement.

To unify the direction of all aspects of work between Company 58 and local cadres, on July 5, 1947, in Tan Lac hamlet (now Tan Lac town), Hoang Van Thu Party cell was established with 4 comrades: Nguyen Quoc Sung, as Secretary; Tang Ba, Captain of Company 58; Tran Pho, Political Commissar of Company 58; Lang Van Thinh, cadre of Tri Le commune.

Since its establishment, the Party cell has skillfully relied on the people to propagate, mobilize, and gather solidarity in defeating internal enemies, preventing external invaders, protecting and consolidating the Party organization and government. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to stabilizing and controlling the situation in Quy Chau district in particular, and the Northwest region of Nghe An in general, and has made an important contribution to the overall revolutionary cause of the nation from the resistance war against the French to the end of the resistance war against the Americans, liberating the South, and unifying the country in 1975.

After more than 35 years of implementing the Party and State's renovation policy, the Quy Chau Party Committee has led the people to develop the economy and society, push back poverty and backwardness; gradually build the homeland to develop more and more in all aspects. Although there are still some shortcomings and limitations, the results that the Party Committee and people of the whole district have achieved are proud: The economic structure has shifted positively, towards reducing the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery (from 54% in 2005 to 33.7% in 2021), increasing the proportion of industry, handicrafts and basic construction (reaching 23.6%), especially the proportion of trade and services (increasing from 26.3% in 2005 to 42.7% in 2021).

Forming concentrated production areas such as: raw material growing areas, fruit growing areas; rice areas... Small-scale industrial production, trade and services, tourism tend to develop well. Forestry is reorganized in the direction of socialization, focusing on forest care, cultivation, and protection... bringing the district's forest coverage to the top of Nghe An province, reaching 78% (in 2020).

Up to now, 11/11 communes have asphalted and concreted traffic systems, convenient for cars to travel. 100% of the commune People's Committee offices and health stations have been built spaciously. The rate of households using electricity is 94.2%. The whole district has 34/37 schools meeting national standards, 89.7% of classrooms are solidified and many other welfare works. There are 2/11 communes (Chau Tien, Chau Binh) and 30 villages meeting New Rural standards; the whole district meets 14 criteria on average.

In recognition of the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Quy Chau in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of its title, the district was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President.

Over the years, many collectives and individuals have been awarded Emulation Flags, titles and other noble rewards by the Party, State, Government, ministries and branches from the Central to the provincial levels...

At the discussion, Secretary of the District Party Committee Vuong Quang Minh emphasized: To achieve the above results, there are great and important contributions from the district leaders through the periods. Inheriting and fostering the achievements of previous generations, promoting the potential and strengths of the district, seizing new opportunities, the District Party Committee Executive Committee and the District Party Committee Standing Committee are determined to successfully implement the goals and tasks for the period 2020 - 2025, focusing on 3 breakthroughs: "Innovating thinking, overcoming stagnation; Focusing on developing the forest economy; Mobilizing resources for tourism development" as set forth by the 26th District Party Congress.

Previously, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Quy Chau District Party Committee (July 5, 1947 - July 5, 2022), the Quy Chau District Party Committee led by Comrade Vuong Quang Minh - Secretary of the District Party Committee visited and presented gifts from the district to party members who turned 60 and 70 years old in the party.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to party member Cao Xuan Suu (60 years of party membership) and party member Hoang Thi Lien (55 years of party membership), residing in Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to party member Vang Van Thich (70 years in the party), residing in Xet 2 village, Chau Thang commune.

Here, comrade Vuong Quang Minh - Secretary of the District Party Committee and the working delegation expressed their respect for the contributions of party members in the struggle for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland.
