This morning (June 27), more than 36,000 Nghe An candidates entered the 2024 High School Graduation Exam.
This morning (June 27), at 70 testing sites across Nghe An province, candidates entered the first day of testing with two subjects: Literature and Math. Of which, 36,551 candidates registered for the Math exam and 36,476 candidates registered for the Literature exam.

According to the summary, Nghe An is the examination council with the 4th largest number of candidates in the country with 36,956 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of more than 67 candidates compared to the 2023 exam.
Of which, there are 1,266 independent candidates. The number of candidates only considered for graduation is 2,678, the number of candidates only considered for admission is 1,220.

With a large number of candidates taking the exam, this year Nghe An has prepared 1,671 exam rooms at 70 exam locations, including 73 spare exam rooms. The province has also mobilized 5,906 people to serve as exam invigilators.
In addition to the head of the test site, deputy head of the test site, and general secretary, there are 3,849 people working as invigilators and supervisors. The police force has also mobilized nearly 900 people to work as security guards at the test sites.
The 2024 high school graduation exam is a national exam of special importance. However, according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's exam will be organized basically stable as in the 2020-2023 period.

This is also the last exam to be taken according to the 2006 General Education Program. From 2025, the High School Graduation Exam will be reduced from 6 subjects to 4 subjects and candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.
