While bathing, Khanh and Anh fell into a deep hole in the river. Seeing this, Luong Manh Tuan swam out to save the two children. After pushing the two children to safety, Tuan was exhausted and was swept away by the current.

Hearing the children's cries, Mr. Lim Van Quy in the nearby area ran out and dived to rescue Tuan, but due to drowning for too long, he died.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Xuan - Principal of Hanh Thiet Secondary School said: The school is very sorry for Tuan's passing. In class 7A3, Tuan was a very good student. Meanwhile, Tuan's situation is very pitiful, his father is seriously ill and cannot work. The family's life depends entirely on his mother who is a farmer.
