Inter-family group number 3, Ky Lam hamlet, Ky Son commune,Tan Ky districtThere are 34 households. These days, every household is busy rebuilding fences, gates... because recently, the people here voluntarily donated part of their garden land to widen the village road.
Mr. Ho Trung Viet, who is supervising the construction team rebuilding the family's fence, said that he realized that this road was narrow, making it difficult for people to travel, especially for cars when avoiding each other, so when the inter-family team discussed the matter,donate land to open roadThe family agreed immediately. With a length of 15 meters along the road, his family donated dozens of square meters of garden land.

After demolishing the fence, Mr. Viet's family invested tens of millions of dong to rebuild a solid fence. "The purpose is to widen the road so that people can travel more conveniently, and the family does not ask the local government for any expenses, including investment in rebuilding the fence," Mr. Viet happily said.
Secretary of the Party Cell of Ky Lam Hamlet, Mr. Le Tien Dung, said: Inter-family group No. 3 has 34 households, mainly engaged in agricultural production. Recently, the families of this inter-family group voluntarily donated land to widen more than 800m of the village road running through the inter-family group. From a road surface only 3.5m wide, after donating the land, the road surface has widened to 6-7m. The total area of garden land donated by this inter-family group is more than 3,000 m2 and thousands of m2 of solid fences and gates. Not only donating land, these households also invested in rebuilding the fences and gates. Not to mention, before opening the road, these households also contributed 1 million VND/household to implementland clearance.
"After the road is opened, this inter-family group has a plan to contribute money to pour concrete on the road, however the contribution will be large, because all costs are contributed by the people," said Mr. Le Tien Dung.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Chairman of Ky Son Commune People's Committee said: Although the locality hasto the NTM finish linesince 2017, but up to now, there are still nearly 20 km of village roads that have not been concreted. Therefore, dozens of households of Group 3, Ky Lam hamlet donated garden land to widen the road, moving towards concrete pouring, which is completely voluntary and discussed, contributing to beautifying the homeland. However, due to the limited budget of the commune, the locality is not able to support part of the cost for the people.
It is known that in addition to Ky Son commune, in Tan Ky district there are many other localities where people voluntarily donated land to expand roads.
Mr. Vi Van Quang, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Tan Ky district, said: Since the beginning of the year, people in the communes of Phu Son, Nghia Hanh, Nghia Hop, Nghia Dung, Ky Son... have voluntarily donated garden land for the locality to expand roads according to NTM standards, with an area of tens of thousands of square meters of garden land. Households that donate land to open roads do not raise the issue.compensationor support for local authorities.
