(Baonghean.vn) - On December 3, the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vinh City and the Ky Son Charity Association had activities to give gifts and support people with disabilities and poor students in the area.

* Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans of Vinh Cityorganized a seminar to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), where the Association gave gifts, wheelchairs, and rehabilitation equipment to people with disabilities and orphans in the area.

On this occasion, the City People's Committee presented 50 gifts with a total value of 25 million VND to 50 disabled people in difficult circumstances. Received and distributed wheelchairs, hearing aids and rehabilitation tools to 21 disabled people from the community-based rehabilitation program under the Central population health target program for the period 2016 - 2020.

* In Ky Son, Ky Son Volunteer ClubIn coordination with the District Youth Union, more than 300 gifts were given to poor students at Bao Nam Primary School and Kindergarten.

Here, the delegation presented 107 warm coats, 70 warm blankets along with 150 sets of clothes and many other necessities to the students, with a total amount of over 30 million VND. This is the amount that the Ky Son Charity Club has donated from benefactors and golden hearts in the province.

Bao Nam Commune has 100% Khmu ethnic group, people's life is still difficult. In recent years, Ky Son Charity Club has carried out many activities for students with difficult circumstances in the border district.

* In Tan Ky district, philanthropists in the district visited and gave savings books to Doan Van Tuan (10 years old), a 4D student at Ky Son Primary School, Tan Ky district.

Tuan currently lives alone in a dilapidated, severely degraded house in Hamlet 6, Ky Minh, Ky Son Commune, Tan Ky District. His situation is very pitiful, his parents have been missing for nearly 10 years, he lives with his grandmother. Nearly 2 weeks ago, his grandmother also passed away from cancer.

Faced with the child's situation, the school and local authorities wrote a letter calling for help for Tuan. After nearly a week of calling, philanthropists through Facebook donated and directly delivered a savings book worth 29 million VND along with many essential items such as warm clothes, food, gas stove, rice cooker, books... with a total value of 30 million VND, helping him to return to school and gradually stabilize his life.
