According to the project, households growing hot peppers are supported by Nghia Thuan Agricultural Cooperative with 25 kg of phosphate per sao. The company lends seedlings and fertilizers in the form of deferred payment. These days, farmers in Nghia Thuan are focusing on planting and cultivating 20 hectares of chili.

The growth period of chili peppers lasts 6 months; if planted and cared for properly, they will be harvested after 60 days; the yield is 35 - 40 tons/ha. Currently, chili peppers are favored by the Korean and Chinese markets; this is the factor that makes people feel secure in investing in production.
Mr. Cao Xuan Phuc in hamlet 6 said: "My family received 1,400 chili seedlings to plant on 1 sao of land. What we want is to have technical guidance during the planting process, and to have regular purchases of products when harvesting so we can confidently invest in the next crops."

In addition to being supported by the enterprise with loans for seedlings and fertilizers, when participating in the project, households are instructed on planting and care techniques as well as effective harvesting methods. In particular, the enterprise will purchase all chili peppers at the lowest price of 5,000 VND/kg.

Up to now, 10/20 hectares of chili have been planted in Nghia Thuan commune. The remaining area will be closed in the next few days. This is the first locality in Thai Hoa to plant chili on sandy soil.
If successful, it will open up a new development direction for farmers in other communes and wards; it will be the basis for the town to continue to transform the crop structure, creating a link between the agricultural sector, businesses and farmers in production.
