On the morning of April 11, the Steering Committee held its first meeting to discuss working regulations, assign tasks to members, and the work plan for 2023.
Previously, on March 6, 2023, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Decision No. 1830-QD/TU to establish the Steering Committee for administrative reform of Nghe An province, headed by Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee as Deputy Head of the Committee; Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee; Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee as Deputy Head of the Committee.
Along with that, the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of Nghe An province has 21 members including members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Heads of the Party Committees of the Provincial Party Committee (Organization, Propaganda, Internal Affairs, Mass Mobilization) and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Director of the Provincial Police, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee.
Members of the Steering Committee include: Chief of Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Directors of the Departments: Home Affairs, Planning and Investment, Finance, Information and Communications, Science and Technology.
The Steering Committee is responsible for leading, directing, urging, inspecting and supervising agencies, units and localities in the province in implementing administrative reform tasks; developing working regulations, programs and monthly work plans.
The Head of the Steering Committee assigns specific tasks to each member of the Steering Committee and establishes a Steering Committee Support Team. The Department of Home Affairs is the standing body of the Steering Committee; responsible for advising and directly implementing tasks assigned by the Steering Committee; periodically reporting to the Steering Committee on implementation results every quarter.
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of Nghe An province also signed and issued Decision No. 01-QD/BCĐ to establish the Steering Committee's Support Team.
The Director of the Department of Home Affairs is the Head of the Team. The Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office in charge of administrative reform, the Deputy Head of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board are the Deputy Heads of the Team, along with 13 team members.
The main task of the working group is to advise the Provincial Steering Committee for Administrative Reform to lead, direct, urge, inspect and supervise agencies, units and localities in the province in implementing administrative reform tasks; advise the Steering Committee on developing working regulations, programs and annual work plans; and report quarterly to the Steering Committee on implementation results.
