Currently, along with encouraging and expanding many specialized green trees such as parks and ornamental flower markets, by 2025, Vinh city has set a goal of having a nursery of about 54 hectares.

The city has proposed 3 groups: maintaining and developing green trees, a group of trees that need to be limited and removed, and a research group for development, along with a list of specific tree types to implement.

To maintain and increase the proportion of green trees, Vinh City is proposing many solutions, on the one hand, encouraging people and investors of projects to replace good green trees according to the city's orientation; at the same time, increasing the integration of ODA projects or other socialized sources to maintain the area and increase the proportion of green trees on new routes such as the 72m Vinh - Cua Lo road project, the 35m road from Hung Hoa to Nghi An...

In particular, to create a highlight in terms of urban aesthetics, Vinh City will invest in building green welcome gates at the city's gateways such as the southern area at Ben Thuy Bridge and Cua Tien, the northern area at Quan Banh intersection; the western area at Cua Nam intersection and soon Cua Dong, 72m Vinh - Cua Lo road...

In order to achieve the target of 10% or more of construction land for trees in residential areas and apartment buildings and a density of 25% of green area in agencies, schools, hospitals, etc., one of the directions of the City is to mobilize agencies, units, wards, communes and hamlets to reserve land for flower gardens, green spaces - sports.

Currently, the People's Committees of wards and communes organize dissemination, review and collect opinions from hamlets and blocks, ensuring a scale of about 300 m²/location, at least each block has 1 flower garden, green space - sports area. Currently, through the survey, the City has selected about 130 locations that meet the above criteria to survey, guide compensation plans, and plan to make green space in residential areas and blocks.
