Hoang Mai town is proposed to be recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2020.

On the afternoon of December 2, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Steering Committee for the National Target Programs for the period 2016 - 2020 of the province.Nghe Anto discuss and vote on the proposal to consider and recognize Hoang Mai Town as meeting the new rural standards in 2020. The meeting was chaired by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with relevant departments, branches and localities.

Over the years,Hoang Mai Townhas focused on implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction and has achieved many results. The whole town has 5/5 communes meeting the New Rural Construction standards (100%). The basic regional connection infrastructure meets the production and living needs of the people. 100% of the Program's basic construction investment projects are implemented in accordance with the procedures of the Law on Public Investment. Up to now, the town has no outstanding basic construction debt in implementing the New Rural Construction.

The traffic system in the 5 communes has been invested in and basically meets the standards. The irrigation system in the communes has been invested in and upgraded in accordance with the general irrigation system planning in the town and has been effectively managed and exploited, meeting the requirements of production and people's lives, ensuring regulations on natural disaster prevention on the spot. 100% of communes and villages have cultural houses and sports areas that meet the standards according to regulations... The fields of health, culture, education, environment, security and order are ensured.

Towngradually affirming its role as one of the three growth poles of the province. In 2020, the value of industrial and construction production is estimated at 12,197 billion VND. The value of industrial and handicraft production in the past 5 years has contributed an average of 10-12% to the total annual industrial production value of the whole province; The value of service and trade production in 2020 is estimated at 1,681 billion VND. The period 2016-2020 has attracted 40 projects, with a total registered capital of over 16,000 billion VND.

The production value in the agricultural sector has increased significantly, reaching 1,833 billion VND by 2020. In the period of 2014-2020, 46 production development models were built applying scientific and technical advances in cultivation, animal husbandry, and aquaculture, bringing efficiency and increasing income for people.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and gave opinions on the process of building new rural areas in Hoang Mai Town and voted to recognize Hoang Mai Town as meeting new rural standards in 2020. The result was 31/31 votes in agreement, reaching 100%.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged the efforts of Hoang Mai Town in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in recent years and emphasized that this is just the beginning. In the coming time, the Town needs to continue to do well the key tasks, including: Continuing to complete the dossier to submit to the Central Appraisal Council on New Rural Construction, continuing to improve and improve the criteria on infrastructure, people's income, building green, clean and beautiful landscapes, environment...

Hoang Mai Town needs to strive and make efforts to become a type 3 urban area, moving towards building Hoang Mai City - 1 of 3 cities of the province in the future according to the roadmap.
