(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 4 months of 2024, Nghe An province's budget revenue is estimated to reach more than 7,711 billion VND, reaching 48.5% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council; total revenue from tourists reached 8,714 billion VND.

On the afternoon of April 25, under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for April 2024 to listen to and give opinions on important contents.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan; the implementation of the state budget and financial tasks in April, and key tasks and solutions in May 2024.

Reports and opinions unanimously assessed that in April, the agricultural production situation was stable and quite comprehensive. The whole province had 317/411 communes meeting new rural standards, 67 advanced new rural communes, 10 model new rural communes, and 9 districts meeting new rural standards.

The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 11.23%; in 4 months, it is estimated to increase by 8.58%. By April 20, the concentrated public investment capital managed by the province had disbursed VND 849,933 billion, reaching 18.36%, 11.35% higher than the same period. Key projects are focused on accelerating progress.

Starting from April, the number of tourists to Nghe An increased rapidly. It is estimated that in April, the number of tourists reached 1.05 million. In the first 4 months, the number of tourists is estimated at 3.13 million, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourists reached VND 8,714 billion, of which tourism revenue is estimated at VND 3,348 billion, an increase of 42% over the same period in 2023.

International cooperation and integration activities continue to be implemented effectively. As of April 23, the province has granted 4 new projects and adjusted 7 projects with a total registered capital of over 228 billion VND.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has granted 23 new projects and adjusted the total investment capital of 16 projects. The total newly granted and adjusted capital is more than 15,043 billion VND, the total newly granted investment capital is 1.27 times higher than the same period.

State budget revenue in the first 4 months is estimated at 7,711.9 billion VND, reaching 48.5% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, equal to 128.9% of the same period in 2023. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at 7,223.5 billion VND; Revenue from import and export activities is estimated at 483.3 billion VND.

The socio-cultural sector continues to receive attention, and social security policies are fully implemented. Key tasks are being implemented on schedule. The draft Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 7th Session in May 2024.

Administrative reform, strengthening of discipline and order continue to be promoted. Nghe An's administrative reform index (Par Index) ranks 15th out of 63 provinces and cities, leading the North Central region; up 1 place compared to 2022.

Regarding the People's Satisfaction Index with the Services of State Administrative Agencies (SIPAS), Nghe An ranked 12th out of 63 provinces and cities; ranked 2nd in the North Central region; up 2 places compared to 2022.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De proposed to speed up the summer-autumn crop harvest; focus on implementing key projects such as the Ban Mong reservoir project, the Khe Lai - Vuc Mau project, the high-tech forestry zone project...

In addition, relevant sectors coordinate with localities to guide fishermen to record their entry and exit logs; quickly deploy land valuation; advise on handling backlog projects; speed up the implementation of the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period; pay attention to electricity for production...
