(Baonghean.vn) - On December 24, a working delegation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha visited and worked at a number of units and localities and presented 250 Tet gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances in Que Phong district.

Accompanying him were comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, representatives of the Vietnam Children's Fund, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and other departments of the province.

Visiting Tri Le 2 Primary School, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha visited, encouraged, sent New Year greetings and presented 100 gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances.

The Deputy Minister also highly appreciated the efforts of local authorities at all levels in implementing economic development policies, improving people's lives, especially in protecting, caring for and educating children; and expressed his joy that socialized resources have solved many social security issues for people, especially on the occasion of preparing to celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 250 gifts to 250 students in especially difficult circumstances in the district. The total value of the gifts is 500 million VND, taken from the mobilized fund for the Vietnam Children's Fund through the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund.

The practical gifts presented by the Deputy Minister before the New Year are to help children and their families have a more fulfilling Tet; to promptly encourage and motivate them to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

Next, the delegation visited the officers and soldiers of Tri Le Border Guard Station. Here, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha highly appreciated the efforts of the Tri Le Border Guard force in the past time, hoping that the officers and soldiers would continue to promote the achieved results, practice discipline and order, meet the requirements of work in the new period, strengthen coordination with units and localities, ensure security and order, and contribute to maintaining the sovereignty of the national border.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha and the delegation also visited and worked at the Que Phong District Voluntary Drug Rehabilitation Center.

Before that, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Martyrs Cemetery of Que Phong district and expressed their respect for the great sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, bringing peace to the country./.
