Prime Minister: Strictly handle group interest behavior in epidemic prevention
The Prime Minister requested timely rectification and strict handling of negative behaviors, corruption, and vested interests in the process of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccination, and procurement and use of medical equipment and supplies.
The Government Office has just issued a telegram conveying the direction ofPrime Minister Pham Minh Chinhon focusing on effectively implementing the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, while promoting the disbursement of public investment capital and promoting socio-economic development.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government agencies, secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees, and chairmen of People's Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities to continue to resolutely and effectively implement tasks and solutions to prevent and combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the same time, focus on leading and directing the timely removal of difficulties and obstacles, striving to complete the goals and tasks of disbursing public investment capital in Resolution No. 63 dated June 29, 2021 of the Government on key tasks and solutions to promote economic growth, disbursement of public investment capital and sustainable exports in the last months of 2021 and early 2022.

The Prime Minister requested that in the process of leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, vaccinate, care for, and treat infected people, especially in the procurement and use of medical equipment, supplies, testing reagents, drugs, vaccines, etc., it is necessary to ensure science, efficiency, publicity, transparency, and avoid loss and waste; promptly rectify and strictly handle negative behaviors, corruption, and group interests.
The management and use of the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund and funding, support, and voluntary contributions from organizations and individuals for disease prevention and control must ensure publicity, transparency, efficiency, and compliance with legal regulations, and must not allow negativity, waste, or profiteering.
Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government agencies, secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees, and chairmen of provincial and municipal People's Committees shall directly direct, have specific plans and roadmaps to promote the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital from now until the end of the year, especially important and urgent projects; assign specific tasks to relevant organizations, individuals, and responsible leaders.
Along with that, promptly and effectively handle arising issues to strive to achieve the disbursement target set for 2021, contributing to promoting, recovering and developing the economy.
Every month, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provinces and centrally run cities synthesize and send the results of public investment capital disbursement to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Government Office no later than the 3rd of the following month for synthesis, reporting to the Prime Minister and publicizing on the Government Electronic Information Portal.
Urgently guide businesses to conduct Covid-19 testing themselves
The Government Office has also just issued an official dispatch conveying the Prime Minister's opinion directing the Ministry of Health to urgently issue instructions for businesses to conduct Covid-19 tests themselves and take responsibility so that businesses can be proactive in production activities to ensure safety in disease prevention and control.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai commented on the Ministry of Industry and Trade's proposal on solutions to support workers in the industrial sector.
To effectively support workers in industrial sectors and ensure labor supply for post-pandemic production recovery, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to support ensuring epidemic prevention safety for workers in industrial enterprises, industrial parks, and export processing zones (such as prioritizing vaccination for workers working in enterprises); study and adjust current social security support policies towards increasing the level of support and extending the support period for workers in industrial sectors.
Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai assigned the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to study and handle related contents according to their authority. The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to study, consider and resolve related recommendations to support businesses and workers to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
