In March 2022, press agencies closely followed reality to promptly and fully reflect many events and issues in all aspects of life. In particular, the fields of current affairs and politics were reported prominently with the main content being the regular meeting in March 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Provincial People's Committee.

It has spread the guiding viewpoints on the implementation of the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program, the participation of the political system, people and businesses to overcome difficulties, and strive to achieve high growth rates in the first quarter of 2022.

As the month of International Women's Day on March 8, press agencies have published many articles emphasizing the role of Vietnamese women in the resistance war as well as in the period of national construction and development. At the same time, they have honored exemplary women in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, press agencies have published many articles and news promoting activities to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, affirming the role of Nghe An youth in the cause of building the homeland and the country.

Regarding people's livelihood issues, Nghe An press has reflected the difficulties of farmers in production and livestock farming during the pandemic and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on economic and social life. Hot issues of social concern such as the impact of rising gasoline and oil prices on people's lives and production and business activities of enterprises have also been clearly reflected. From there, many solutions have been proposed to control inflation and stabilize the market in the new context.

The tourism sector has been promoted with many news and articles after 2 years of "freezing" due to the Covid-19 pandemic, creating momentum for the recovery of the province's "smokeless" industry.

The press continues to pay attention to and reflect on violations of a number of project works; violations in state management of land, slow-progress projects causing waste of land resources, affecting investment attraction in the whole province.

Regarding the handling of issues raised by the press, in March 2022, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department compiled 7 issues reported by the press; advised the Standing Committee to issue 6 documents to handle 7 issues raised by the press.

By the end of April 4, 2022, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department received 2 documents reporting the results of handling the 2 issues raised by the press from units and localities.

Continue to do good propaganda work

Orienting propaganda work in April 2022, the representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to focus on propagating the results of the 4th Conference - 13th Party Central Committee; the results of the 9th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee; the 5th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council (term 2021 - 2026) and Resolution No. 36/2021/QH15 dated November 13, 2021 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province.

Regarding Party building work, it is necessary to focus on a number of key contents related to Party rectification and the political system, actively propagating and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda about the movement, models, and typical examples of good implementation of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle", associated with the 2022 theme: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle on building a team of truly pioneering and exemplary cadres with pure morality, strong political will, and qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested press agencies to promote timely and extensive propaganda of 7 key groups of tasks and solutions to restore the province's socio-economic development; resolutely and effectively implement programs and plans to achieve the highest results in the socio-economic development goals and targets in 2022; the province's efforts and determination in perfecting the organization and apparatus of the political system in conjunction with Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU dated December 14, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting administrative reform in Nghe An province in the period of 2021 - 2030.

Press agencies focused on disseminating information on spring crop production, preparation for summer-autumn crop production; plans to ensure agricultural production, support the supply and consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; forest fire prevention; the national target program on new rural construction; promoting key industrial products; plant and animal diseases; occupational safety and hygiene in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department Pham Ngoc Canh emphasized that journalists and reporters need to strictly follow the rules of using social networks for journalists, creating consensus in awareness and action on issues of social concern.

Regarding the Russia-Ukraine issue, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to prioritize Vietnam's stance and viewpoint of maximum restraint from the use of force, emphasizing humanity and international responsibility in respecting, ensuring security and safety, and facilitating evacuation when necessary for the foreign community living in Ukraine, including Vietnamese compatriots.

Propagating and unifying people's awareness and thinking about the correctness and appropriateness of the Party and State's viewpoints and policies on the importance of foreign relations between Vietnam and Russia, Ukraine and related countries. Thereby creating consensus in society.
