(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has just issued Notice No. 109/TB-VP-PCTT on the operation and regulation of water at Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir, Xa Luong Commune, Tuong Duong District and Nam Mo Hydropower Plant (Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son District).

Accordingly, at 3:05 p.m. on August 2, 2023, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention received Notice No. 01/TB-NMNN dated August 2, 2023 from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company on the discharge of water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir due to increased flow to the reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the single reservoir operation process, the inter-reservoir operation process on the Ca River basin and in accordance with the hydrological situation at the project, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of regulation operation: It is expected that after 19:30, August 2, 2023, Ban Ang Hydropower Plant will discharge water through the spillway shoulder gates.

Expected discharge: From 200 m3/s : 500 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).

Time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake decreases below 189.6 m3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention informs: Tuong Duong District People's Committee and heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors, Road Management Department 2 to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to know and deploy necessary work, to ensure the safety of life and property of the State and the People.

* Also on August 2, 2023, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 01/TB-EDCNANM.PCTT dated August 2, 2023 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation on the discharge of water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

Accordingly, to ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to discharge water from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of water discharge through the spillway: 21:00, August 2, 2023.

Total discharge is expected to be about 140m3/s to 300m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).
