(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 10, Nghe An Newspaper held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.

Under the leadership and direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Party Committee, Nghe An Newspaper has united, agreed, made great efforts and determination, achieved and exceeded many contents of the programs, plans, targets and objectives set out.

The Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper has strengthened and continuously innovated its leadership, direction and management to improve the quality of the Party newspaper. In the first 6 months of 2023, the Editorial Board has made efforts to continue to carry out the task of organizing a convergent publishing process across publications, meeting the requirements of "fast, accurate, correct, good - beautifully presented" in print newspapers; increasing attractiveness, convenience, constantly innovating on electronic newspapers and covering Nghe An Newspaper information on social networking platforms.

The quality of content and presentation in the daily newspaper continues to be improved by maintaining existing pages and columns and developing many new columns to meet the requirements of propaganda work as well as readers' access to information.

Nghe An Weekend continues to innovate its content and form by arranging and organizing its pages and columns in a more systematic, stable and sharp manner; expanding its team of collaborators to increase the quality and diversity of the newspaper, etc.

Continuing to affirm its leading position in the local Party newspaper system, Nghe An Newspaper continuously updates new, modern features and attractive new columns. On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 2023), the Newspaper launched a shortvideo column to meet the trend of listening, watching and experiencing short videos of readers; upgrading the new CMS version to be modern, convenient and user-friendly.

In particular, with the view that wherever there are Nghe people, there is Nghe An Newspaper, the newspaper continues to develop in the direction of multi-platform journalism. Nghe An Newspaper publications are distributed on many channels, many platforms with many modern and reader-friendly formats.

The Trade Union, Youth Union, and Journalists Association have innovated many methods to ensure that their activities have a mark, contributing to enhancing the brand recognition of Nghe An Newspaper. Nghe An Newspaper continues to organize activities to call for sponsors to expand the scale of charitable activities with many meaningful programs.

In the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Government for its excellent achievements in completing all tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement of Nghe An province in 2022; The Organizing Committee of the National Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award awarded a Certificate of Merit for "Having outstanding achievements in responding to the 7th Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award in 2022"; The Provincial Party Executive Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in directing and implementing Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU on the action program to implement the Resolution of the 5th Conference, the Central Party Executive Committee (10th tenure) on "Ideological, theoretical and press work before new requirements"; The Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in propaganda work on natural disaster and flood prevention and control and charity activities in 2022 in the province and a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in implementing the National Great Unity Day in the period 2003 - 2023 in the province; Military Region 4 awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda on national defense and security. In addition, many department-level collectives and individuals of Nghe An Newspaper were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee.

FOCUS ON BUILDING ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL STANDARDS

Concluding the conference, on behalf of the Party Committee and Editorial Board, Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Committee Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of collectives and individuals in the first 6 months of the year, contributing to the overall results achieved by Nghe An Newspaper.

In the coming time, Editor-in-Chief Ngo Duc Kien requested all cadres, reporters and employees of Nghe An Newspaper to focus on publishing content and promoting key tasks in July, as well as the last 6 months of the year, especially promoting two very important events: thoroughly grasping and implementing the new Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee meets and dialogues with heads of Party committees and authorities of communes, wards and towns in the province.

The Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper also requested relevant departments to soon develop plans to publish special issues such as: National Day September 2, New Year, Lunar New Year; thereby, reporters can proactively register and carry out topics. The artist and technical departments prepare a warehouse of typical and beautiful documentary photos to use in special issues.

In particular, to create a foundation and strategy for sustainable development of Nghe An Newspaper in the coming period, especially digital transformation and multi-platform journalism, comrade Ngo Duc Kien said that the Editorial Board will directly lead to focus on building economic and technical standards and orders, striving to implement from 2024; at the same time, assign the Nghe An Newspaper Office to advise the Editorial Board to implement bidding work according to the provisions of law in related items.

The Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper also requested that all departments and job positions clearly define their functions and tasks to properly and fully perform their professional work; promote all their enthusiasm in their work; constantly update and innovate their knowledge to meet increasingly high requirements and tasks; at the same time, focus on implementing many solutions to attract propaganda and advertising.

In the first 6 months of 2023, authors and groups of authors won a total of 29 journalism awards, 5 more than the same period in 2022. Of which, 3 national awards: 1 Encouragement Prize of the National Golden Hammer and Sickle Award; 1 B prize of the Dien Hong Award, 1 C prize of the National Journalism Award; won 11 journalism awards for writing about Party building "Golden Hammer and Sickle" in Nghe An province (including 3 First prizes, 1 Second prize, 2 Third prizes, 5 Encouragement prizes); 7 awards for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the first phase of the 2021-2025 period (2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 2 Encouragement prizes); 7 Nghe An provincial press awards in 2022 (including 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes, 2 Encouragement prizes), the Bright Examples Around Us contest of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Public Security Bloc won 1 A prize.
