(Baonghean.vn) - At 7:30 p.m. on July 20, Mr. Tran Dinh Tuy - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Van Commune (Thanh Chuong District) said that the information about 2 bodies drifting near the bank of Lam River, Tien Kieu Hamlet, Dong Van Commune was incorrect.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chuong - Chairman of Dong Van Commune People's Committee, the person who wrote the false information on Facebook is an elderly man, sick and bedridden, residing in Dong Van Commune. Working with local officials, this person said that he was lying at home and heard people gossiping so he posted it on his personal Facebook.
“This person is in difficult circumstances, has limited awareness, has removed false information and did not do it on purpose, so the local government only reminded him. The local government did not handle the case and did not create a file to request the competent authority to handle it,” said Mr. Chuong.
As reported, on the afternoon of July 20, on the social network Facebook, there was information posted that "people discovered 2 dead bodies floating near the shore (Lam River section in Tien Kieu hamlet, Dong Van commune) with no one claiming them".

On the Facebook page of Anh Son Nha Choa, there was also a post stating that at the Lam River section in Tien Kieu hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, people discovered two bodies floating near the shore that no one had claimed. So, this is to inform the victims' families, or if anyone sees the victims' families looking for them, please report to the above location to claim the victims.
Upon learning the news, relatives of Mr. Nguyen Van Dong (born in 1952) and his wife, Mrs. Tran Thi Loi (born in 1958, residing in Hamlet 3, Vinh Son Commune, Anh Son District) - who had been missing on the Lam River since the morning of July 17, also contacted and went to Dong Van Commune to look for them.
The local authorities of Dong Van commune also had to mobilize forces and people to use boats to search on Lam River through Dong Van commune but did not find any bodies on the river. On the night of July 20, the Party Secretary of the commune and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Van commune also went to the bank of Lam River to search.
