Nghe An province rewards 38 press works on Covid-19 prevention and control

During the Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam, press agencies actively participated in timely, extensive and effective propaganda of the direction and implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control solutions by authorities at all levels and functional agencies of Nghe An province.

Journalists and reporters do not hesitate to face difficulties and hardships, approach and are willing to devote themselves to obtaining hot, multi-dimensional information, demonstrating a sense of responsibility to the community and society on the front line against the pandemic. From here, thousands of journalistic works of different types have been born, leaving a deep impression on readers and listeners.

In order to promptly encourage and honor the team of journalists, reporters, and collaborators in the propaganda work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association launched the Nghe An Journalism Contest with "Prevention and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic".

The contest received the participation of a large number of journalists, reporters, and collaborators in the area. There were 132 works out of thousands of works published and broadcast from January 2020 to May 2020 submitted to the contest.

Press works have focused on promptly reflecting the management, direction and implementation of solutions to prevent and combat the Covid-19 epidemic by authorities at all levels and functional agencies of Nghe An province.

Reflecting the difficulties, hardships, and dangers of forces at quarantine areas, checkpoints, and border controls... In particular, promoting and raising awareness of maintaining community safety and social order during the pandemic. Discovering and honoring good people and good deeds in epidemic prevention and control and sharing responsibility with society and the community.

The Organizing Committee has considered and awarded 38 prizes to authors and groups of authors. Of these, there are 7 Second prizes, 11 Third prizes, 20 Encouragement prizes (no First prize).

Nghe An Newspaper has 9 works winning Second, Third and Encouragement prizes including:

1. The work "Story of sleepless nights of epidemic prevention and control in Nghe An" by author Thanh Chung won second prize.

2. The work: "Volunteer hearts" by two authors Khanh Ly - Hoai Thu won third prize.

3. The work "Silent heroes on the front line of Covid-19 prevention and control" by two authors Phuong Chi - Thanh Cuong won third prize.

4. The work "The Silent People During the Epidemic" by author Duc Anh won Third Prize.

5. The work "Spreading love and strength" by author Cong Kien won third prize.

6. The work "Livelihood for workers during the epidemic" by author Thanh Nga won third prize.

7. The work "Soldiers driving on the front line against the epidemic" by author Thanh Cuong won the Encouragement Prize.

8. The work "Don't falter" by author Nhat Lan won the Encouragement Prize.

9. The work "Warmth when returning to the homeland" by author My Ha won the Encouragement prize.

Mr. Tran Duy Ngoan - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association affirmed that journalists, reporters, and collaborators are truly shock troops on the front line of epidemic prevention and control, contributing to the overall victory of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Nghe An province in particular and the whole country in general./.
