State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc: Closely monitor construction to avoid breaking Vinh City's planning

After listening to delegate Nguyen Thi Thao quickly inform about the expected program and content of the 8th session of the 14th National Assembly, voters focused on making recommendations on issues of concern.
Voter Phung Van Chung proposed to adjust the Planning Law and Land Law to suit the general development process.
Some other opinions say that ministries, branches and localities need to closely monitor the planning of urban areas in big cities. In Vinh city, do not grant investment licenses for high-rise apartments in the city center to avoid disrupting the infrastructure.
Voter Ngo Duc Hoang mentioned that information channels containing “poison” are increasingly floating around and are not strictly managed. Mainstream television channels have not produced many humane and educational programs, especially for the younger generation.

Regarding the fight against corruption, voter Nguyen Quang Hien expressed his excitement at the drastic involvement of the Party and the State. Many corruption cases have been exposed before the law, regardless of the position of the violator. However, according to voters, the declaration of personal assets in corruption cases has not been really effective. Therefore, voters requested the National Assembly to perfect the Anti-Corruption Law more strictly, resolutely handle wasteful corruption cases that cause loss of State assets, meeting the people's expectations.

Acknowledging and accepting the voters' legitimate opinions, State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc, on behalf of the National Assembly Delegation, directly explained a number of issues within his authority.
Regarding the Cat Linh - Ha Dong project, State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc said that up to now, this project has exceeded 10,000 billion VND, twice the initial estimate. Currently, the project has not been accepted due to insufficient data on safety and train operation techniques... Realizing this is a serious problem, the National Assembly is completing documents to consider disciplining related organizations and individuals.
Regarding the suggestions to closely monitor the construction process to avoid breaking the planning structure of Vinh City, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the voters' recommendations and continued to report to the central ministries and branches to preserve the city's inherent standard planning.
Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption, the State Auditor General said that under the strong direction of General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, all institutions and policies have been and are being perfected to eliminate loopholes in legal regulations, especially in the Law on Anti-Corruption and the Law on Civil Servants, in order to prevent loss, waste, and corruption, enhance transparency, and promote the supervisory role of the people.
