Toyota and its 20-year journey with students majoring in Automotive Engineering
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2023, Toyota Vietnam continues to expand the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) to 2 colleges: Nha Trang College of Technology - Khanh Hoa (October 21) and Vinh University - Nghe An (November 1).
Within the framework of the program, Toyota cooperates with schools to establish and operate 2 Toyota Technical Training Centers (T-TEP), upgrade facilities, and equip new equipment and specialized modern tools from Toyota to improve the quality of teaching and vocational training in auto repair techniques.

Toyota will transfer to the T-TEP Centers of the 2 schools a full support package for the technical majors of General Repair (GJ) and Body Repair and Paint (BP) with a total value of about 160,000 USD. Details of each support package include 1 Innova car, 3 engine sets, 3 transmissions of various Toyota cars, 1 Fortuner car body with many sets of doors, car ears and special training kits such as gearbox cutting models, electrical practice boards, engine cutting electrical parts sets, etc. Along with that are Toyota's specialized repair tool kits, measuring tools and Toyota car maintenance and repair equipment, training curriculum to guide students in practicing Toyota car repair skills.
At the same time, Toyota has provided training and updates to the teaching staff of the schools to be able to use and effectively operate the sponsorship and training package for auto repair students, meeting the global standards of the Toyota Group.

Over the past 20 years, Toyota has provided over $1 million and 14 cars to schools for teaching purposes. To date, the program has successfully launched 11 technical training centers at universities and colleges across the country, with 3,200 students trained, of whom over 900 have been recruited to work at Toyota dealerships.
Through this program, Toyota hopes to contribute to improving the quality of vocational training and teaching in schools, providing a source of high-quality technicians for Toyota in particular and the automotive engineering industry in Vietnam in general./.
