Vinh City invests in renovating 5 more streets as walking streets

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: 5 streets expected to receive new investment in 2020 and 2021 are: Nguyen Van Cu Street (section from Le Hong Phong Street to Nguyen Sy Sach Street), Ha Huy Tap Street, Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, route from the airport road to the Customs traffic island.

These streets will be invested in the form of socialization, people will contribute a part of the sidewalk item (30% of the sidewalk value); build and synchronously renovate the items: Underground power lines, telecommunications, renovate drainage ditches, lighting, trees, renovate sidewalks with natural green stone, with high durability and aesthetics.

It is known that the city has issued Document No. 1075/2020 on mobilizing resources to carry out urban beautification, assigning communes to survey and make a list of households, organizations, and units on the streets, synthesizing reports, and collecting people's opinions.

Urban beautification is considered an important task and a major policy of the City Party Committee since 2018. Investing in the above streets along with walking streets will stimulate production and business activities, bringing practical economic efficiency, increasing land value in these areas, and contributing to changing the appearance of Vinh city.

The city assigned the following departments and units: Urban Management; Finance - Planning; Vinh Investment and Construction Project Management Board; Chairmen of wards and communes: Hung Dung, Hung Binh, Hung Phuc, Ha Huy Tap, Le Mao, Nghi Phu, Truong Thi to closely follow the assigned tasks of propagating to the people and be responsible to the city for the implementation results.

Previously, the city invested in Nguyen Cu and Ho Tung Mau streets to become very synchronous walking streets. After the investment was completed, the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the opening of these streets.
