Vinh City: A series of projects were built and renovated to celebrate 10 years as a class 1 urban area.
(Baonghean.vn) - Preparing to celebrate the 230th anniversary of Phuong Hoang - Trung Do and 10 years of being a class 1 urban area, Vinh city is focusing on speeding up the progress of a number of important renovation projects.
Accordingly, Vinh city is implementing the project: Lighting for Dang Thai Mai street and other central city streets; sidewalk parking according to approved planning; drainage ditches for agricultural areas along the Regulating Lake; infrastructure construction for planned areas in block 5 of Ben Thuy ward; and planned areas on both sides of 24m road in Hung Loc commune.

The city is also determined to speed up the progress of major, key projects: Nguyen Sy Sach Street extended to the Lam River road; thoroughly handling environmental pollution at Dong Vinh landfill; works serving the construction of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard (95m road) such as Nghi Phu 2 Primary School; 4 resettlement areas in Nghi Phu and Nghi Duc communes; Dong Khoai cemetery; Le Mao extended road; construction of urban areas.

The city is also installing traffic lights at the roundabout intersections of Le Nin - Le Hong Phong - Truong Thi - Vo Nguyen Hien - Nguyen Phong Sac; renovating some sidewalks on Le Mao, Ho Tung Mau, Le Hong Phong, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai streets to make parking lots.
In particular, the progress of the Vinh Urban Sub-project is about to reach the finish line with many completed packages.

In addition, the city continues to have practical assessments to promote the direction: The 10th anniversary of the first-class urban area and the 230th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do are important events to attract tourists, and are also an opportunity for Vinh city to promote its image to friends in the province, domestically and internationally.
Therefore, efforts must be made to overcome shortcomings and limitations such as weak management of construction order in the area, the situation of construction works not conforming to the permit still occurs; post-inspection after granting construction permits is not regular and drastic. In addition, slow and cumbersome investment procedures affect the progress of many projects.
