Information from Nghe An Department of Health: Tonight (June 19), the Department of Health launched the first phase of the rapid testing campaign for Vinh city residents. In this campaign, 630 medical staff from 11 medical units participated, collecting samples for residents of 25 communes and wards in Vinh city according to the registered list. The campaign lasts for 2 days from June 19 to 21, starting from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day.
Previously, the Vinh City People's Committee announced the registration for rapid Covid-19 testing for the entire population. Accordingly, all more than 500,000 people living in Vinh City will be tested quickly. Each family will be required to take a rapid test sample of 01 person (priority will be given to selecting 01 person in the family who frequently travels and has a lot of contact for screening and classification), the cost will be paid by the Vinh City People's Committee.
For other cases in the family, if there is a need for a rapid Covid-19 test, please register through the village chief. The cost is paid by the family or individual. The cost for a rapid test is 135,000 VND/person.
Those eligible for free testing include people with revolutionary contributions who are receiving monthly allowances; the poor; people receiving monthly social security allowances... People working at agencies and businesses will register for rapid testing at their workplace.
On the morning of June 19, Nghe An Department of Health held an online meeting to deploy a number of urgent tasks in disease prevention and control.Covid-19in the area; with the participation of 49 connecting points. At the meeting, the Director of the Department of Health requested medical units to review and prepare human and material resources for sampling and testing; establish sampling teams in the community; be ready to organize sampling, rapid testing and large-scale testing in the area.
