On June 24, Tan Phu District Police (HCMC) are investigating two young men who robbed and threatened Ms. Phan Thi Mung (48 years old), owner of a hair salon located at 293 Tan Hoa Canal, Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District, HCMC.
Before that, at around 10:30 am on June 21, a young man came in to clean his ears and shave his face in Ms. Mung's shop.
Knowing that the restaurant only had Ms. Mung, the other customer called a young man named Lu (33 years old, living in Tan Phu District, a regular customer of Ms. Mung) to the restaurant.
Taking advantage of the empty shop, Lu and his accomplices beat Ms. Mung, then dragged her into the restroom, tied her up, and taped her mouth. After searching the entire barber shop, the two suspects did not find any money and threatened the victim.
The two of them stripped off all of Ms. Mung's jewelry (1 gold ring and a set of 14 gold Ximen bracelets). Discovering the victim's motorbike key, they took the key, jumped on the motorbike and sped away.
Immediately after the incident, Ms. Mung untied herself and reported to the police. The two perpetrators are currently being investigated by the police.
