Vinh University: 22 more lecturers successfully defended their doctoral theses

Attending the conference were comrades: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Hoang Dinh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board; Le Thi Hoai Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Board.

2018 is the mid-term year of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 31st Party Congress of the University, term 2015 - 2020. Based on the mid-term conference, the Vinh University Party Committee seriously assessed the achievements, limitations, shortcomings and proposed the main tasks for the second half of the term.

In 2018, the School Party Committee also led the implementation of the school restructuring project approved by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; creating the first step in rearranging the organizational structure of the school according to the model of a multidisciplinary university, with many affiliated universities such as the University of Education, Economics, Law, Science and Humanities, etc.

2018 is also the year the school has strong and equal integration in the region and the world; is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Universities; a member of the CDIO Approach Training Association...

The current rate of international students of the school has increased in the year, accounting for 3% of the total number of students of the school; in addition to Lao and Thai students, in 2018 there were also African students.

The school also focuses on Party building work, especially training and improving the quality of staff; personnel work is carried out democratically, methodically, and according to procedures; care is taken for the development of Party members, with an average of 350 new Party members admitted each year.

In the remaining half of the term, Vinh University continues to implement the school restructuring project, building the school into a national key university according to international standards and in the top 20 leading schools in Vietnam.

To carry out the above tasks well, Party building work must continue to be comprehensively cared for to meet the requirements of leadership, direction, breakthrough and advancement of the Vinh University community.

Speaking at the conference, in addition to appreciating the results achieved by the Party Committee of the University in 2018, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Vo Thi Minh Sinh also requested the Party Committee of Vinh University to continue to take care of personnel work, party member development work; and focus on training party work skills for the Party Committee team.

Regarding the leadership in implementing the school's tasks, the Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board emphasized that the school continues to have solutions to improve training quality, link training with job creation for students, contributing to enhancing the school's position; promoting international cooperation, integrating equally and strongly with the region and the world.

On this occasion, the Party Committee of Vinh University awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 typical Clean and Strong Party organizations and 12 Party members who were classified as having excellently completed their tasks in 2018. The School Board of Directors also presented flowers to congratulate 22 lecturers who successfully defended their PhD theses in 2018.
