Nghi Duc Secondary School (Vinh City) received the National Standard Certificate

60 years of establishment

Nghi Duc Secondary School was established in 1960, located in Nghi Loc district. In the early period, the school was called Nghi Duc Primary and Secondary School with Mr. Nguyen Tri Thang as the first Principal. In August 1992, the school was separated from Nghi Duc Primary and Secondary School according to the Decision of Nghi Loc District People's Committee and named Nghi Duc Secondary School and Mr. Tran Van Thuyen was assigned as Principal. From July 2008, after Nghi Duc commune was merged into Vinh city, Nghi Duc Secondary School was merged into Vinh city with Mr. Ha Quoc Tri as Principal.

During the development process, the largest school size reached 12 classes with nearly 400 students and currently, although it has decreased, the school still maintains a size of 10 classes with 383 students. The school is a public secondary school education institution that carries out the task of universalizing education and comprehensive education for students aged 11-15, creating resources for high schools; meeting the learning needs and human resource requirements for socio-economic development of Nghi Duc commune in particular and Nghi Loc district as well as Vinh city in general.

Proud of National Standard School

During the 60-year journey of establishment, generations of teachers and students of Nghi Duc Secondary School have together strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges; from 2 rows of thatched houses and 2 rows of simple tiled houses to a spacious school with a team of staff and teachers with solid expertise and dedication to education.career of growing peopleand generations of good, successful students.

For many years, the School has had many excellent teachers at the district, city and provincial levels. The general quality and the key quality over many periods have always been highly appreciated by superiors.The political and social organizations in the school all coordinate smoothly and effectively. The Party cell always fulfills its comprehensive leadership role well, continuously achieving the title of a strong and clean cell.

The union has successfully completed its mission of caring for people's lives, creating an environment of solidarity, democracy and discipline, and has been continuously recognized as an excellent and strong union. The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Union has always been excellent. The parents' representative committee is dedicated and works together to support the school in many aspects, truly a bridge between school, family and society.

During 60 years of construction and development, Nghi Duc Secondary School has always fulfilled its tasks well, has been recognized for many years as an advanced and excellent school, and has received many Certificates of Merit from the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district in the past and the People's Committee of Vinh city at present; many teachers have received Certificates of Merit from the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

From this school, dozens of generations of students have grown up and are contributing to building their homeland and country. That is the pride and motivation for generations of teachers of the school to strive and try to complete the career of educating people.

In the 2019-2020 school year, the School was assigned the task ofNational standard constructiona. Despite the low starting point, limited human resources and limited facilities, with the timely attention and encouragement of the locality and the Parents' Association; and the close guidance of the City Department of Education, the School has made great efforts to complete the assigned tasks. In early June 2020, the School was assessed and evaluated by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, and submitted to the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for a decision to recognize it as meeting national standards.level 1 august 2020

The event of Nghi Duc Secondary School achieving national standards is an achievement of local education but also an honor for generations of teachers and students of the school, who have made great, silent contributions to the formation and development of the school over the past 60 years. This is a great milestone for the school to develop to a new height, generations of teachers and students as well as parents are excited, proud and willing to strive together to maintain and further promote the tradition of emulation in good teaching and good learning of the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee warmly congratulated the school's teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20); at the same time, she hoped that in the coming time, the school's teachers and students would continue to maintain their title, compete in teaching well, studying well to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Achieving standards is difficult but maintaining standards is even more difficult, so along with providing facilities and teaching equipment, teachers must improve their professional skills. Schools need to closely coordinate with localities in mobilizing social resources to improve facilities for teaching and learning; coordinate with the Parents' Association to manage and educate children so that they become good children, good students, and useful citizens for society.
