Youth of Thai Hoa and Tan Ky towns launched the 2016 summer volunteer campaign
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the 2016 Summer Volunteer Campaign, young people in localities in the province are implementing many practical and effective activities.

The project “Lighting up the Homeland” is 1,000 meters long with 30 electric poles and 30 light bulbs. Using existing techniques, the town’s Youth Union members installed bulbs and light covers, and replaced some broken wires leading to households that were wasting electricity.
Despite the hot weather, with the determination of more than 150 Youth Union members, the progress and quality of the project met the requirements, with a total cost of 15 million VND. In just one morning, the project was handed over to Tho households in hamlets 4 and 5 of Nghia Tien commune for management, repair and protection so that the power line is always lit.

The handover and putting into use of the project "Lighting up the homeland" has a very practical meaning, not only serving the travel needs of the people, beautifying the village roads and alleys, but also contributing to ensuring security and order in the locality.

*Tan Ky YouthImplemented 2 projects: Clearing a 3km long rural road from the health station to the commune People's Committee with the participation of more than 200 Youth Union members; Coordinated with the District Red Cross to organize medical examination, consultation and medicine distribution for more than 200 policy families, the elderly, children, and poor households in Phu Son commune with a total value of more than 18 million VND.

In addition, the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Youth Union also directed 40 youth union bases in the district to simultaneously organize youth projects from June 6 to 10.
