Commemorating the 961st death anniversary of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of January 21, the 16th day of the 12th lunar month, at Qua Son Temple (Boi Son commune), the People's Committee of Do Luong district held a ceremony to commemorate the 961st death anniversary of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Secretary of the District Party Committee; comrades in the District Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and a large number of local people.

Qua Son Temple worships Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang, the 8th son of King Ly Cong Uan. He was the one who fought against foreign invaders, kept the border peaceful, and took care of the economic and commercial development of Hoan Chau land 1,000 years ago.
Ly Nhat Quang was the first district governor of Nghe An and also a man of great merit to the people and the country. In 1057, Uy Minh Vuong - Ly Nhat Quang was canonized and became a saint at the foot of Qua Son mountain in Boi Son commune, Do Luong district today. After his death, to express their condolences and gratitude, the people built a temple at the foot of Qua Son mountain.

Every year on the evening of December 16 and the 17th, the people of Bach Ngoc village hold a memorial ceremony for Uy Minh Vuong.
