ALWAYS MAINTAIN CLOSE CONTACT WITH VOTERS AND PEOPLE

At the conference, after listening to the brief biographies of the 7 candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council elected in constituency No. 1, voters listened to the candidates present their action programs to fulfill their responsibilities as delegates if elected as delegates to the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Presenting their action programs, the 7 candidates all affirmed that they will perform well their duties as elected representatives if elected to contribute to the development of the province in general and Vinh City in particular; always maintain close contact with voters and people, convey people's opinions to the authorities for timely resolution.

At the same time, the candidates also affirmed that they will contribute to building Vinh City to become more and more developed, a civilized, smart, modern urban area, becoming the center of the North Central region in a number of fields: Trade, tourism, information technology, healthcare, education - training.

Presenting the action program, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy emphasized: Absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the People and the Constitution; always uphold the spirit of exemplary in studying to improve qualifications, work and life; not doing things that affect the prestige and honor of Party members and People's Council delegates.

Regularly and closely contact voters and people; listen to and synthesize the opinions, recommendations and legitimate aspirations of voters and people to fully, objectively and promptly reflect them to the Provincial People's Council and relevant authorities for research and resolution; promote the spirit of monitoring and supervising the process of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations.

In line with his duties and responsibilities as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy said that he and the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will always uphold the spirit of solidarity, unity, determination, drasticness, innovation, creativity, and strive to direct the highest completion of the socio-economic targets set by the 19th Provincial Party Congress; ensure the maintenance of national defense and security; focus on effectively implementing the work of building the Party Committee and the political system; improve the capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations; and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations of governments at all levels.

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy said that he will continue to focus on building mechanisms and policies, especially specific mechanisms and policies to create momentum for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, such as: improving the investment environment, administrative reform; promoting and attracting human resources; investing in key infrastructure such as seaports and airports to create momentum and a favorable environment to attract large investors to the province;

Pay attention to building and protecting planning; manage, protect, exploit, use resources economically, reasonably, effectively and sustainably in the area, proactively respond to climate change; develop the West, improve the lives of ethnic minorities, remote areas, narrow the development gap between the East and West of the province; at the same time, together with the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, research and develop a number of industries and fields with strengths in the North Central region.

With his duties and responsibilities as a citizen of Vinh City, the head of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that he will pay maximum attention to the development of the City, together with the Party Committee and the People to complete the goal of building Vinh City into an economic and cultural center of the North Central region in the spirit of Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

APPRECIATION OF THE CANDIDATES' ACTION PROGRAMS

Voters highly appreciated the action program, 7 candidates fully met the criteria and standards to run for election as elected representatives, representing the voice and aspirations of voters at the highest state power agency in the locality, the Provincial People's Council.

Voter Nguyen Thi Hanh, Hung Dung ward expressed her trust in the leadership of the province, especially the results of the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the area. Ms. Hanh also hopes that, if elected, the provincial People's Council delegates will pay attention to building infrastructure in the ward, especially the work of preventing flooding.

Mr. Nguyen Sy Hien - Voter of Hung Dung ward hopes that the candidates elected to the next Provincial People's Council will have a voice so that the People's Council can review policies and regimes for people working in the block and hamlet; at the same time, pay attention to the agricultural sector.

Voters of Ben Thuy ward requested that candidates, if elected, give their opinions to propose solutions to completely resolve the deterioration of the Vinh Fiber Factory workers' housing area in blocks 7 and 9, Ben Thuy ward, which currently has 244 households living there, so that people can feel secure.

On behalf of the candidates, the Provincial Party Secretary thanked the voters for their trust, encouragement and sharing with the 7 candidates; at the same time expressed his sympathy and understanding with the opinions reflected by the voters; the elected candidates in constituency No. 1 will reflect to the relevant authorities and agencies after the election; as well as monitor, supervise and urge for resolution.

Constituency No. 1 includes 14 wards and communes of Vinh city: Ben Thuy, Cua Nam, Doi Cung, Hong Son, Hung Binh, Hung Dung, Hung Hoa, Le Mao, Quang Trung, Trung Do, Truong Thi, Vinh Tan, Hung Chinh, Ha Huy Tap, with 7 candidates, elected 4 delegates to the 18th Provincial People's Council.
