Rising from the depth of culture and history
(Baonghean) - Thai Hoa town is now bustling and vibrant, with the breath of a young urban area on the Hieu River. In the place considered the center of the fertile Phu Quy land, people from all over the country have come here to settle down and make a living in different historical periods of the 20th century. They all carry within them a common sense of pride: I am a Thai Hoa person and join hands to build a new homeland.
Journalism gives me the opportunity to travel to many different lands. Of course, each place has its own interesting features, but Thai Hoa always brings a very special feeling because the past, history and present are always intertwined, creating a strange attraction for this land. That is the archaeological site of Lang Vac in Nghia Hoa commune, where the legend of the beautiful and loyal Y La still lives on in the legend explaining the name: Lang Vac. No one can quantify how much truth there is in the legend that generations of Nghia Hoa people have proudly passed down to each other. However, the past of an ancient land of the Vietnamese people on Nghia Hoa land today is undeniable. In the 20th century, during many excavations in Vac village, which was formed from Dinh hamlet and Lang hamlet, archaeologists excavated and discovered more than 1,000 bronze artifacts such as bronze drums, bracelets, daggers... and 347 burial tombs of Dong Son residents of Vac village.
With the characteristics of residential relics - burials, its documents help us learn about the lives of ancient Vietnamese residents during the Son Vi and Dong Son cultural periods. In Vac village, Thai Hoa town has built a temple, an exhibition house of archaeological artifacts and organized the Vac Village Festival every year on the 7th, 8th and 9th of the second lunar month, attracting people and tourists from all over the country to attend. With pride in their homeland, the people of Nghia Hoa commune are striving to build their commune to be more and more prosperous, in step with the continuous development of Thai Hoa urban area. Mr. Hoang Nghia Thai, Party Secretary, Chairman of Nghia Hoa Commune People's Committee shared: "Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Nghia Hoa commune has achieved 15/19 criteria and is striving to reach the finish line in 2015".

Not only the Vac Village Festival, Thai Hoa also preserves a red address - the relic of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu Farm on December 10, 1961 in Dong Hieu Commune. Currently, at the Traditional House of Dong Hieu Farm, the relics of his visit are still fully preserved intact. These are the microphone; the bowl and chopsticks where he had lunch; the bed where he took a nap... and countless images vividly reflecting Uncle Ho's visit more than half a century ago. Currently, Thai Hoa Town has put into use the Uncle Ho Memorial House in Dong Hieu Commune.
Generations of leaders and people of Thai Hoa Town have always treasured, preserved and are striving every day so that the historical values that not every land has can be widely spread to people from all over the country. Since 2011, the Provincial People's Committee has approved a detailed plan for the construction of an archaeological site conservation area associated with eco-tourism to build Vac village into a destination, a spiritual tourist destination to return to the roots and a detailed plan for the construction of the Uncle Ho Memorial Area to visit Dong Hieu.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Head of the Urban Management Department of Thai Hoa Town, said: On December 11, 2014, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the investment policy to build a project to preserve the Lang Vac Archaeological Site associated with tourism and the Decision to invest in the historical site of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu Commune. Thereby, opening up opportunities and foundations for Thai Hoa to expand its urban space according to a development triangle. In which, Hoa Hieu and Long Son wards focus on strongly developing trade and services, connecting and exploiting tourism potential at the Lang Vac Archaeological Site in Nghia Hoa Commune and the Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu Relic. At the same time, developing a medical examination and treatment center, training human resources in the western area of the Town in Quang Tien Ward and Tay Hieu Commune. All of these will create a new look, suitable for the position of the central urban area of Phu Quy region, strongly developing the fields of trade, services and tourism.

To realize the above orientation, in recent years, Thai Hoa Town has focused on promoting infrastructure construction, especially new traffic routes, connecting areas, creating a lifeline for development. Now coming to Thai Hoa, many people will be surprised to be immersed in the bustling, bustling streets selling all kinds of goods and services in Hoa Hieu Ward or a nostalgic, romantic space when walking under the hundred-year-old tamarind trees still green in Quang Tien Ward... A little further, within a radius of about 10 km from the center of the Town, we can immerse ourselves in the rich natural scenery, the peaceful space of purely agricultural communes such as Nghia My, Nghia Thuan, Nghia Tien... which are growing strongly in the construction of new rural areas. All combine to create a bustling picture, full of life colors, blowing a good feeling for even greater developments in the near future of the town.
