Dien Ngoc Commune (Dien Chau) received the Decision to recognize it as meeting New Rural standards.

Dien Ngoc is a coastal border commune, adjacent to the center of Dien Chau district. The commune was recognized by the State as a Heroic Commune of the Armed Forces in 2003. After more than 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the local appearance has changed completely.

The technical infrastructure and socio-economic infrastructure of the commune are invested synchronously and completed, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, serving production development and people's lives.

The total investment resources for new rural construction in the commune are over 434 billion VND; of which, people contributed funds, donated land, constructions, trees and invested in house renovation over 420 billion VND...

The economic structure continues to shift in the right direction, the average economic growth rate reaches 13%/year, the average income per capita in 2021 reaches 52 million VND; the multidimensional poverty rate in the period 2016 - 2020 is below 5%, expected to decrease to 3.1% in 2022; 3/3 of schools in the area meet national standards.

Cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities are maintained and developed; the rate of hamlets meeting cultural standards is 80%. Political security, order and social safety are maintained, the material and spiritual life of the people is improved. The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations have achieved the title of Clean, Strong and Excellent Progress.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ho Phi Trieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development highly appreciated the results that Dien Ngoc commune has achieved in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction.

He suggested that the Party Committee, government and people of Dien Ngoc commune continue to promote resources, along with people's contributions, to continue investing in the rural traffic system and building and renovating other infrastructure works.

In addition, promoting the advantages of coastal areas, the locality focuses on directing people to develop the profession of exploiting, farming and processing aquatic and seafood products and traditional rural industries, occupations and craft villages; applying scientific and technological advances to boost production and continue to expand and develop new industries and occupations in the commune; focusing on shifting the economic structure towards developing industry, trade and services to increase people's income.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Phi Trieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the New Rural standards to Dien Ngoc commune and awarded 500 million VND to the commune to build welfare works.
