Hung Khanh Commune (Hung Nguyen) receives Certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards

On the morning of June 23, Hung Khanh commune (Hung Nguyen) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong; Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Coordination Office; district leaders and representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

After 6 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, mobilizing the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the rural appearance of Hung Khanh commune (Hung Nguyen) has improved a lot, the socio-economic infrastructure has been invested...

Currently, the commune road system is 100% asphalted and concreted. To ensure the need for proactive irrigation and drainage on 100% of the 2-rice and colored land areas, the commune has integrated and invested nearly 8 billion VND to upgrade and solidify level 1, 2, 3 canals and the drainage system connecting to the main canals... Building a multi-functional cultural house; upgrading the stadium; renovating 1 cultural house and upgrading 4 remaining hamlet cultural houses.

In recent times, Hung Khanh has encouraged people to promote the application of scientific and technological advances in production and animal husbandry. To increase income for people, the agricultural service cooperative has cooperated with enterprises to produce VietGAP vegetables on the beach area; the products are guaranteed by the enterprise, so people have a stable source of income...

Along with economic development, the quality of education, health care, culture and environment has been gradually improved. The commune mobilized more than 1.1 billion VND to build new, upgrade and repair the school system. The health care system has been invested in, providing good services for initial medical examination and treatment for the people. The commune has built a centralized waste disposal site and 5/5 hamlets have waste collection teams; rural environmental sanitation is basically guaranteed.

The work of building the Party and the political system has been strengthened and maintained. The Party Committee was assessed by the District Party Committee as a Clean and Strong Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have all completed their tasks well and excellently. In 2018, Hung Khanh commune was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the new rural standards.

During 6 years of implementing the new rural construction, Hung Khanh commune (Hung Nguyen) mobilized resources of 63,384 billion VND. Of which: central budget 1,645 billion VND, accounting for 2.6%; provincial budget 9,679 billion VND, accounting for 15.27%; district budget 6,015 billion VND, accounting for 9.49%; commune budget 5,212 billion VND, accounting for 8.22%; combined capital 1,605 billion VND, accounting for 2.53%; people contributed 15,719 billion VND, accounting for 24.8%. In 2018, the average income reached 30 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate decreased to 2.85%.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements that Hung Khanh commune has achieved in the movement of building new rural areas. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Khanh commune to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved criteria. Review and make plans to continue building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards; thereby striving to build a model new rural commune. Focus on developing production, promoting cooperation, joint ventures and linkages along the product value chain to increase added value, contributing to improving people's lives and income.
