Van Tu Commune connects and mobilizes more than 240 million VND to support flood victims in Nghe An
On July 31 and August 1, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Van Tu commune coordinated with the Son Hoang volunteer group and benefactors in Ho Chi Minh City, along with the Nghe An Red Cross Society to organize the awarding of 181 support packages to people who suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3 (Wipha) in Tuong Duong, Luong Minh, and My Ly communes (Nghe An province).
Comrade Pham Xuan Thach - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Tu commune joined the delegation, handing over practical support to people in disaster areas.
Specifically, in Cua Rao 2 village (Tuong Duong commune) and the outlying villages of Luong Minh commune, the delegation awarded 40 support packages (16 packages in Cua Rao 2, 24 packages in Luong Minh), each package worth from 1.5 to 1.9 million VND; for households whose houses were washed away or completely collapsed.

In Xieng Tam village (My Ly commune), the delegation presented 105 support packages, of which 62 households whose houses were washed away or completely collapsed received 1.5 million VND/household; 43 households whose houses were damaged by more than 50% received 1 million VND/household. In Xieng Tren village, 36 households with severe damage received 1 million VND each. In addition, benefactors provided an additional 400,000 VND to households in especially difficult circumstances. The total value of goods and cash presented in this relief package was more than 240 million VND.


In parallel with the above activities, Van Tu commune also mobilized cadres, civil servants, public employees and people in the commune to donate and support through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province with a total amount of 110 million VND./.
