After receiving the information, the authorities are verifying the incident. According to the authorities, based on the verification, if there is any basis, they will take strict action.

Regarding sleeper buses running on National Highway 48, as far as we know, double-decker sleeper buses are currently only allowed to go to Chau Binh commune - the first commune of Quy Chau district on National Highway 48 (up to Km75). This causes people in Que Phong and Quy Chau districts who want to take sleeper buses to the southern provinces and to the northern provinces to travel by shuttle bus or other means of transport to Chau Binh commune to get on the bus.

Especially at this time, when the number of people returning to their hometowns for Tet is very large and there is a need to take a bus to go to the South or to the Northern provinces, it is very easy for conflicts of interest between bus companies to occur. This requires the authorities to increase patrols and controls to avoid competition for customers, causing insecurity and disorder.

According to information from the Nghe An Department of Transport Inspectorate, in order to carry out inspections and ensure traffic order and safety during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024, from December 25, 2023 to February 15, 2024, the Department Inspectorate has fined 109 organizations and individuals for violations, with the amount of: 175,000,000 VND; revoked the right to use driving licenses and transport badges for 7 cases.
