Handling 78 cases of "illegal vehicles" running rampant in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the situation of "illegal vehicles" operating openly and rampantly on many roads, Vinh City Police created a special project, established 5 inspection teams and have so far punished 78 violations.

"Illegal cars" cause chaos in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - According to incomplete statistics, Nghe An province currently has more than 300 illegal cars, most of which are 7-seat cars. Regardless of the district they depart from, all of these cars' destinations are Vinh City. These trips do not have a fixed departure and destination, nor do they require a specific time; the drivers of the illegal cars just work according to the needs of the customers.

Official cars cry for help, authorities "helpless"?
(Baonghean.vn) - Bus and fixed-route passenger transport companies have been struggling for years, losing money and having to cut trips and strike due to the "oppression" of illegal buses. Not only that, illegal buses also create many dangerous consequences for society and people. Meanwhile, local authorities and functional agencies are showing "helplessness"?
On the morning of November 10, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Ha - Head of the Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police said that the unit had just handled 78 cases of "illegal vehicles". These vehicles were handled with forms such as temporary detention of vehicles, documents, administrative fines or temporary revocation of driving licenses according to Decree 46/2016/ND-CP of the Government.

This move was made after Vinh City Police noticed that the operation of 5-12 seat cars violated regulations on passenger transport business (called illegal cars) in Vinh City, causing disorder and traffic safety.
In September 2018, Vinh City Police established a project and developed Plan 981 to inspect and handle violating vehicles.
"Vinh City Police established 5 working groups, applied professional measures and implemented them regularly, especially during peak periods of these types of vehicles," said Lieutenant Colonel Ha.

In addition, during the implementation of the project, Vinh City Police also discovered and handled other violations such as stopping and parking in the wrong place and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Ha also said that this is one of the tasks that Vinh City Police regularly deploy, especially during peak times.

Previously, in early October 2018, Nghe An Newspaper published a special article "Illegal vehicles operating freely", reflecting the situation of 5-12 seat vehicles openly picking up passengers on all routes in the province, especially in Vinh City.
These "illegal vehicles" operate without a transport business license; do not pay taxes or fees; do not have a specific itinerary; and drivers do not receive regular health checks.
The operation of these "illegal vehicles" has affected the legitimate operations of fixed-route bus and coach companies, creating inequality in passenger transport business activities. In addition, the fact that these vehicles weave through alleys has damaged the urban landscape and increased the risk of traffic congestion.
