The results of a recent review of existing problems and inadequacies in traffic organization by the Vinh City People's Committee show that there are up to 10 traffic light clusters in the city that are not operating properly.
The list of intersections with unstable traffic lights was reported by Vinh City People's Committee in Document No. 1997/UBND-KTHTDT dated April 2, 2025, sent to the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Police, Department of Construction,Provincial Traffic Safety Committeeand Road Management Area II.

Including intersections: Nguyen Du Street - Nguyen Thuc Dong Street; Customs Island 5-way intersection; Maximart intersection; Ngo Gia Tu Street - Nguyen Canh Hoan Street; Old National Highway IA - New National Highway IA (through the bus station); C9 Island (Kim Dong Street - Le Hong Phong Street - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street); Bac Vinh Bus Station; Nguyen Gia Thieu Street - Ton That Tung Street; Truong Van Linh Street - Ly Tu Trong Street.

According to the report of Vinh City People's Committee in Document No. 1997/UBND-KTHTDT, these traffic light clusters use solar energy, depend on the weather, so their operation is unstable. Therefore, it is necessary to renovate them, through the installation of underground cable systems, using grid electricity.
