Born into a farming family with difficult circumstances and many siblings, Luong Van Thuan (born in 1992) always cherished the dream of becoming rich legitimately on the land where he was born.

At the end of 2014, after graduating from the reserve officer class of Military School QK4, Luong Van Thuan was discharged from the army and returned to his hometown. Initially, Thuan chose to raise chickens, geese, and ducks, but due to lack of experience, it did not bring economic efficiency, all the capital he saved when he was discharged from the army was "gone".

Learning from his previous experience in raising animals, Thuan carefully researched the animals he would invest in this time. Thuan took advantage of his free time to follow news about household economic models, especially cricket farming; and learned cricket farming techniques on the Internet. Then, Thuan went to a breeding farm in Hanoi to buy 3 trays of eggs for 1 million VND to hatch them into chicks. After 3 months of raising, Thuan sold 20 kg of finished crickets, deducting expenses for a profit of 3 million VND.

From that initial success, at the end of 2015, Thuan borrowed 6 million VND from friends to invest in buying 60 trays of eggs to incubate. On the day of selling, due to carelessness with ant spray, Thuan's crickets all died. The second time, Thuan was left empty-handed, packed his bags and went to Phu Tho to work as a porter for 3 months, but unfortunately broke his leg and had to return home for treatment.

After recovering, Thuan was not discouraged and continued to borrow 2 million VND to go to Vinh to buy 7 trays of eggs to incubate and raise, after 1 month, he had 60 kg of crickets. After a trial period, Thuan found that crickets were easy to raise, the herd increased quickly, developed strongly, and had little loss, so he boldly borrowed capital and expanded the breeding area to increase the herd.

After much effort, currently, each month Thuan's cricket farm can sell 70 - 80kg of commercial crickets; with a selling price of 180,000 - 220,000 VND/kg, after deducting costs, the profit is 10 - 12 million VND.
