Nghe An Newspaper launches campaign to support flood victims in Central Vietnam
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 19, responding to the call of the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Nghe An Newspaper organized a launching ceremony to support the people of the Central provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Tran Van Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper emphasized: In recent days, storms and floods have occurred continuously over a large area in the province.Central provinces, especially in Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces, causing heavy damage to people and property.
As of the afternoon of October 19, more than 120 people have died and are missing; thousands of houses have been flooded; tens of thousands of hectares of rice, crops and aquaculture areas have been lost; hundreds of thousands of livestock and poultry have been swept away. Many schools, hospitals and public works have been damaged and flooded, and traffic arteries in many areas have been cut off and isolated.

He shared the difficulties and losses that the people, officers and soldiers of the Central provinces are experiencing; at the same time, he sent his deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the officers, soldiers and workers who died while on duty at Rao Trang 3 as well as the families whose children were victims of the accident at the 337th National Defense Economic Group.
Promoting the tradition of mutual love and support of the nation, immediately after launching, officers, reporters and staff of Nghe An Newspaper donated nearly 18 million VND to help people in the Central region overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.
