Arrest of drug addict specializing in retailing drugs from the mountains to the plains

On June 2, 2021, at the Cau Ro gas station area in Nam Phong hamlet, Ngoc Son commune (Thanh Chuong), Thanh Chuong district police arrested Vi Van Thon (born in 1989), residing in Xop Mat village, Luong Minh commune, for illegal possession of drugs.

This is the "opening" project in the plan to implement the Action Month for drug prevention and control of Thanh Chuong District Police.

Previously, through reconnaissance work, Thanh Chuong District Police discovered that Vi Van Thon had many suspicious signs, often bringing drugs from the mountainous district of Tuong Duong to trade, buy, sell, and distribute to drug retail outlets in Thanh Chuong District.

This is a drug addict whose family member is serving a prison sentence for drug crimes, so he appears to be very "experienced" and clever when committing crimes.

To hide from the police, Thon took a bus from Tuong Duong district to Vinh city, then took a taxi along National Highway 7 up to Thanh Chuong district to conduct a drug transaction.

It seemed that the movement had been hidden from the police. However, at 6:00 p.m. on June 2, 2021, when the subject had just gotten out of the taxi at the Ro bridge area, Ngoc Son commune (Thanh Chuong), he was stopped by Thanh Chuong district police, caught red-handed, and confiscated a handbag containing 980 MTTH pills, 55.55g.heroin.

Currently, Thanh Chuong District Police are detaining the subject and continuing to investigate and expand.
