More than 3,000 newly hatched poultry without quarantine papers seized

On May 16, Mr. Dau Dang Dinh - Head of the Northern Nghe An Animal Quarantine Station said that the unit had completed the procedures, collected samples and sent them to the Regional Veterinary Agency 3 to test 3,000 poultry without quarantine papers and is currently waiting for results.

In case all the poultry being seized test positive, the unit will proceed to destroy them according to the law. If negative, the unit will carry out the next procedures and processes.

Previously, on the evening of May 15, the Economic Police Department of Nghe An Police coordinated with the Northern Nghe An Animal Quarantine Station to block National Highway 1A through Quynh Thien Ward (Hoang Mai Town) and signaled and requested to stop the five-bed passenger bus with license plate 75B - 011.98 traveling in the direction of Hue - Hanoi.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the passenger bus was carrying 38 cargo boxes containing more than 3,000 poultry without quarantine papers. The driver was Vo Van Nhan, residing in Quang Tri province.

Immediately afterwards, the authorities confiscated all the poultry and issued an administrative fine to the driver.
