Arrest of a group of people who created a cover for 'spirit mediumship' to use drugs

Previously, at 00:22, October 22, 2022, at Block 13, Le Loi Ward, Vinh City, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team presided over and coordinated with Le Loi Ward Police to discover a case of organizing illegal drug use, arresting 17 subjects, including: 11 men, 06 women, residing in Vinh City, Nghi Loc District and Hung Nguyen District.

At the scene, 3 ecstasy pills, 2.125g of ketamine and many speakers, lights and tools for drug use were seized.

During the investigation, the police temporarily detained Nguyen Xuan Hoa, Nguyen Quang Vinh, and Nguyen Duc Hieu - the three people who brought drugs in for the group to use.

The remaining subjects were prosecuted by the authorities for administrative violations of illegal drug use.

The officers of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team (Vinh City Police) said: Among the detained subjects, the most notable is Nguyen Xuan Hoa, who claims to be "inspired by a higher power" and regularly organizes "spirit mediumship" sessions to create a cover to gather young people to have fun and organize illegal drug use; the illegal drug use location that was eliminated in Le Loi Ward was also Hoa's residence.

Before being caught red-handed, the subjects organized a birthday party for Hoa, then the whole group organized a "drug party".

This is the result of a long period of focused monitoring by Vinh City Police, determining the exact moment when the subjects were using drugs, "flying and shaking" to the music and flashing lights to swoop in and catch them red-handed.
