Arresting a large lottery ring in Dien Chau district
(Baonghean.vn) - Five people residing in Dien Chau district are being detained so that authorities can clarify their gambling behavior by recording lottery numbers.

Previously, on May 14, after receiving complaints from local residents, Dien Chau district authorities arrested Tran Nam Trung (born in 1993, residing in Hamlet 2B, Dien Cat Commune) and Tang Van Chuan (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 2A, Dien Cat Commune) when the two subjects were gambling in the form of lottery tickets at Trung's house.
One day later, expanding the investigation, the authorities continued to arrest 4 more subjects including: Lai The Dinh (born in 1992, residing in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district) and Le Van Long (born in 1991), Vo Van The (born in 1985) and Le Van Thang (born in 1998) all residing in Dien Cat commune. These 4 subjects were related to the gambling case above so they were arrested for clarification.

Authorities seized evidence of the case including more than 300 million VND, 6 mobile phones, and 1 laptop.
The case is under further investigation.
