Mountain tarpaulin to handle 'black spots' on steep mountain pass in Con Cuong
(Baonghean.vn) - At this time, Con Cuong district is coordinating with functional agencies to actively fix and handle black spots in traffic on steep mountain passes on National Highway 7, through Chan Nan village, Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong.

On Highway 7 at km 104 passing through Chan Nan village, Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong) has long been considered a "black spot", with many traffic accidents occurring, including fatal ones. This route has steep slopes, a narrow road radius (6 m wide), obstructed visibility, frequent landslides, and a constant risk of insecurity for people and vehicles.
To ensure traffic safety, Con Cuong district is actively overcoming and handling this traffic "black spot". Up to now, the mountain roof has been completed, the roadway has been widened from 6 m to over 16 m. Other items such as paving the drainage ditch and installing traffic safety signs are being deployed, striving to complete the project by May 20.

Mr. Tran Huu Vinh, a passenger driver on the Vinh - Ky Son route, said: Widening the roadway on the steep pass through Chan Nan village will help drivers observe more easily, expand their vision, and limit the risk of traffic accidents when passing through here.
