The Congress discussed and approved reports summarizing comments on the draft documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

The Congress elected 22 official delegates and 3 alternate delegates to the District Party Delegation to attend the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

The Congress voted to approve the draft Resolution of the 31st District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

The general objectives for the 2020-2025 term are: Focus on building a strong and comprehensive Party organization and political system from the district to the grassroots level; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations; be resolute and effective in the management and operation of the government from the district to the grassroots level; maintain political stability and social order and safety; build a solid national solidarity and unity; promote internal strength, attract and effectively use all resources, creativity, will and aspirations of the entire Party and people, promote the construction of new rural areas and model new rural areas, and constantly improve the material and spiritual life of the people. Strive to complete the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 31st District Party Congress, making Thanh Chuong develop into a well-off district of Nghe An province.

To achieve the above goals, the Resolution sets out 26 specific targets in the fields of economy, culture - society, environment, national defense - security, Party building and political system; 5 key programs.

Thanh Chuong District Party Committee identified 3 breakthroughs in the new term including: promoting administrative reform; promoting internal strength, contributions of Thanh Chuong children at home and abroad, attracting external resources to continue investing in building infrastructure, attracting investment to develop Thanh Chuong town.

The district will focus on directing land accumulation, converting low-value crops to high-value crops; promoting the application of science and technology in agricultural and forestry production; attracting investment, linking with enterprises, linking production with preservation, processing and consumption of products according to the value chain; building brands and trademarks of clean and safe agricultural products associated with specific geographical indications to build and develop according to the "each commune has one product" OCOP model.

The Executive Committee of the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term has been introduced and received its duties. On behalf of the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee, comrade Nguyen Van Que - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, made a speech accepting the duties, promising to unite, be of one mind, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, the goals of the congress resolution will be concretized, to be successfully implemented with the highest results.
