Hospital continues to perfect the "smart hospital" modelmodern, methodical and professional

IT has contributed to creating a breakthrough and gradually digitizing all medical examination and treatment activities, simplifying administrative procedures, creating convenience for patients when visiting the hospital for examination and treatment. Applying IT in hospital management also helps detect incidents and proactively intervene early to minimize complications and improve the quality of examination and treatment.

Along with that, identifying human resources as the "backbone"in the development of the Hospital.

In the past year, the Hospital actively recruited talents, coordinated with universities, and recruited 40 doctors with good and excellent degrees. The Hospital also sent good doctors for training, to improve their qualifications, and to receive new and specialized technical transfer at central hospitals, in the form of hand-holding and guidance.

The hospital actively coordinates well with upper-level hospitals.Leading experts directly consult and transfer new, specialized techniques. Through online consultation software, the Hospital has connected to consult with leading experts from Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital, providing surgical support for many difficult cases; providing regular training for medical staff; contributing to narrowing the professional gap from the central to district levels.

The hospital has mastered many new and specialized techniques.Such as: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy with small tunnel; laparoscopic surgery for total and partial hysterectomy; laparoscopic surgery for knee ligament reconstruction; ultrafiltration technique in artificial blood filtration; perfecting the pathological laboratory, implementing most of the pathological and cytological techniques...

With synchronous solutions, the quality of medical examination, treatment and medical services of the Hospital has been significantly improved., creating trust for patients.

The number of patients who trust and choose to come to the Hospital has increased dramatically compared to last year; on average, the Hospital receives from 1,500 to 1,600 patients per day; the number of inpatients is 600 patients.

Bed occupancy rate is 195%; number of medical examinations is 220%; referral rate is 1%; surgery for 6,000 cases per year.

In 2019, Vinh City General Hospital aims to:Meet the standards of a complete Grade II general hospital with a structure of 500 beds; Hospital quality reaches level 3.8; continue to innovate and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services, gradually build and perfect a modern and professional "smart" hospital model; operate under a mechanism of full autonomy in regular and investment expenditures.
