Struck by lightning, 4 people miraculously escaped death
(Baonghean.vn) - Three women and a child (in Quy Hop district, Nghe An) were sitting in their house playing when they were suddenly struck by lightning; three people lost consciousness, one person fell down and shouted for help and was promptly taken to the emergency room.
On the evening of May 21, at the Quy Hop District Medical Center, four victims were admitted, including Mrs. Sam Thi Nien (79 years old), Ms. Lo Thi Dao (born in 1997), Sam Khai Minh (18 months old) - Ms. Dao's son - all of whom are members of the same family in Inh hamlet (Chau Loc) and Ms. Truong Thi Ha (born in 1997), a pregnant woman in Phay village (Chau Quang), who miraculously escaped death when struck by lightning at 4 p.m. the same day.

At that time, the four victims were sitting together in the house when lightning struck straight down from the roof. The old lady, Ms. Ha and Minh fainted on the spot, Ms. Dao was struck by lightning but still managed to shout.
Hearing the call, the villagers promptly responded and informed the Chau Loc commune authorities to mobilize forces to cross the stream to take the victims to the emergency room.
All four victims are now out of danger and are being monitored and treated at Quy Hop District Medical Center.
