Party Central Committee Secretary Phan Dinh Trac: Proactively implement solutions to combat drought and save irrigation water
(Baonghean.vn) - Talking to voters in Van Loi, Ha Son, Chau Dinh communes, Quy Hop district, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee called on people to proactively implement solutions to combat drought such as building small dams and saving irrigation water.
On June 28, in Van Loi commune, National Assembly delegates including Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Secretary of Nghia Dan District Party Committee met with voters of Van Loi, Chau Dinh, Ha Son communes, Quy Hop district after the 7th Session of the 14th National Assembly.

At the conference, Mr. Hoang Van Thai - Chairman of Van Loi Commune People's Committee requested relevant levels and sectors to include the commune in the plan to investigate and survey to expand the scope of protection of Vinh orange geographical indications to ensure benefits for the commune's orange growers.
Van Loi commune currently has nearly 420 hectares of oranges and tangerines, of which more than 200 hectares have been harvested and is one of the five communes in the planning area of the Project to develop orange material areas towards commodities in the period 2016 - 2020 of the People's Committee of Quy Hop district. Also related to orange trees, voters of the commune requested to find the cause of the disease soon, from which there will be solutions to overcome it.
Voter Truong Van Quang, Van Loi commune, proposed to create conditions to balance and allocate the budget to ensure the activities of the militia and self-defense force. Meanwhile, voter Truong Minh Thoai, a voter of Chau Dinh commune, proposed to soon hand over the land of the 3rd Youth Volunteer Corps in the area to the producers after the Corps was dissolved.

Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of Ha Son Commune People's Committee said that in the commune, 250 households have electricity but cannot use it because the electricity is weak. Therefore, daily life and production are very difficult, especially during the current drought period when the electricity is weak and cannot pump water; thereby, he requested the Electricity sector to pay attention to upgrading the power grid for people's daily life and production.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Son commune also said that the Masan pig farm invested in the commune since it started operating in 2018 is causing bad odors, and requested the province to inspect and rectify it to ensure a living environment for the people.
At the conference, voters proposed contents such as: considering merging hamlets in accordance with the situation; investing in upgrading the spillway across streams in Van Loi commune so that people can travel conveniently and safely; having solutions to increase sugarcane purchasing prices for farmers;...

Responding to voters' petitions, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac expressed his excitement at the development steps of Van Loi commune; at the same time, he suggested that the commune should pay special attention to afforestation, forest protection and forest fire prevention and fighting; drought prevention and water conservation, in which for mountainous areas such as Van Loi commune, people need to build small dams, with support from the district and province.
Besides, pay close attention to applying techniques, productivity, quality, product output, and preventing soil degradation in cultivation.
