(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of fishermen from Nghe An fishing village, along with many machines and equipment, have tried unsuccessfully to salvage the stranded ship at Lach Van estuary.

Dien Chau people joined forces to salvage the stranded fishing boat.

At 2:00 a.m. on February 22, the fishing boat of Mr. Vu Van Tien and Mr. Pham Van Tung in Chien Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune - Dien Chau sank at Lach Van port.

At 3:00 p.m. on February 22, when the tide had receded, hundreds of fishermen from Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An) along with 3 excavators and many pumps were mobilized to salvage the stranded ship at Lach Van estuary.

The local authorities mobilized excavators to scoop sand from the bottom of the boat and create drainage ditches so the boat could be lifted.
In addition, many pumps were mobilized to suck water out of the ship's hull.
Fisherman Vu Van Tien said: Using bamboo trees to tie large plastic barrels will create a large buoy to bring the ship out of the stranded area when the tide rises again.
Hundreds of local fishermen were mobilized to help salvage the ship.
However, by 6pm the same day, the ship had not been successfully salvaged. According to fishermen, the tide would rise around 7pm, and if the ship had not been erected then it would be difficult to salvage.
