(Baonghean.vn) - From 2:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on July 19, 2018, in Quy Chau district, the average rainfall was 53.6 mm. Nam Pong Hydropower Plant discharged 3 gates, the flow through 2 turbines was 600 m3/s; Chau Thang Hydropower Plant discharged 3 gates, discharging 500 m3/s.

At 2:00 p.m. on July 19, Chau Thang Hydropower Plant continued to release 2 more gates, bringing the total to 6 gates with a discharge flow of over 1,200 m3/s.
Faced with the above situation, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Quy Chau district directed households along Hieu river including Chau Thang, ChauTien, Chau Binh and Tan Lac town evacuated from the affected area to ensure safety of life and property.
