Deepest condolences to the family of the worker who had an accident at Do Luong Cement Factory

While repairing an excavator on the afternoon of November 8, Mr. Nguyen Ham Dung had an accident. Although Do Luong Cement Factory and doctors promptly treated him, Mr. Dung did not survive and died that same night. In the face of that loss, the leaders of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company, Do Luong Cement Factory, the Trade Union, Youth Union, cadres, workers, and employees of the unit, along with the people of Van Ha village, Quang Son commune, Do Luong district (where Mr. Dung's family lives) and his family held a funeral to bring Mr. Dung to his final resting place.

In recent days, Do Luong Cement Factory has also sent cadres, workers, Trade Union, and Youth Union to regularly visit Nguyen Ham Dung's family to encourage relatives and share the pain and loss.

Present at Dung's family in Van Ha village, Nguyen Duc Quynh - a worker in the same repair team as Dung, could not hide his sadness and shared: "Nguyen Ham Dung is a very energetic and enthusiastic colleague in all assigned tasks. Every day, during the working process, he is always dedicated, ready to take on any task assigned by the team and his skills are also very good. The repair team has a lot of work and is still short of workers, so Dung's passing leaves his colleagues in the team and the entire unit with great regret...".

Mr. Nguyen Ham Dung, born in 1988 in Van Ha village, Quang Son commune, Do Luong district. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Vietnam People's Army. After completing his military service, he learned a trade and worked for 7 years as a worker for a company in Binh Duong province.

More than 2 years ago, he applied and was accepted to work at Do Luong Cement Factory. He moved his wife and children back to his hometown after many years of working far away with the joy of working close to home with a salary of around 10 million VND/month. His wife also applied to work for a business in Do Luong area. That joy urged the couple to take care of their work, and to be loved by colleagues and friends. However, the accident made Mr. Dung say goodbye to his wife and 2 young children at the age of 33 with many unfinished plans.

Facing the pain and loss of the family, in addition to regularly sending staff to encourage, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company and Do Luong Cement Factory decided to support Nguyen Ham Dung's family with 300 million VND. At the same time, all social security regimes were resolved according to current regulations.

Through discussion, Mr. Hoang Manh Tung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company, in charge of environmental safety at Do Luong Cement Factory said: "The work accident that caused the death of Mr. Nguyen Ham Dung is extremely regrettable. Especially at this stageThe factory is stepping up production and is in dire need of skilled workers.As such. Immediately after the incident, we did everything we could to encourage and share with Mr. Dung's family. At the same time, we also reviewed all labor safety procedures at all stages to ensure safety during the production process."

Burning incense to bid farewell to Nguyen Ham Dung, we deeply sympathize with his family and relatives. Wiping away tears at the pain of his eldest son's death, Mr. Nguyen Ham Hung - Dung's father - said: "He was very obedient, diligent, loved his wife, children and family. I also served in the army and he followed in his father's footsteps, completing his duties well during his military service. He had only been working near home for more than 2 years when he suddenly passed away. In the past few days,Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company, Do Luong Cement Factory has encouraged us both mentally and materially, we are very grateful. But I am also really worried because Dung's two children are still too young, one is 7 years old and the other is 2 years old".

In a sob, Mr. Hung said: "The road ahead is still full of hardships for Dung's wife and children and my family when the family's economy is still facing many difficulties, so I hope to have more help from the community so that Dung's wife and children can be more stable in life...".

Van Ha village (Quang Son - Do Luong) is a low-lying area, often affected by natural disasters. The lives of people here mainly depend on the small rice fields that can only produce 2 crops per year. Therefore, those who work as workers in factories and enterprises in the province or in the country in general are the pride of families in this low-lying area.
