(Baonghean.vn) - In the face of the continuing complicated developments of floods, this afternoon, October 13, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued urgent dispatch No. 30/CD-UBND directing proactive response, ensuring safety of life, and minimizing damage to people's and State's property.
Recently, heavy rains occurred in the province, causing local flooding, landslides, and damage to people and property.
According to the forecast of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, from October 13 to October 15, Nghe An will have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 50 to 100 mm, over 150 mm in some places and still complicated; high risk of deep flooding in low-lying areas, urban flooding, flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas.

At the same time, organize forces to guard and strictly control people and vehicles passing through culverts, spillways, deeply flooded areas, areas with strong currents, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides, and resolutely not allow people and vehicles to pass through if safety is not ensured; proactively direct the implementation of work to ensure safety for teachers, students, and educational facilities in flooded areas.
